MARCOS CARNAVAL - Brazil - Tribal / Electro / Commercial House

Book this DJ Marcos Carnaval

DJ, Producer, song writer and label owner, Marcos Carnaval has worked as a club and radio DJ for 16 years in Brazil. He has won multiple awards including the one of Best DJ/Producer in Brazil in 2000/2001.

He remixed “Better Off Alone” from Alice Deejay, who also invited him to co-produce her CD! In 1998, Marcos put Rio on the map with the hit “The Rave”. This was the first music made by DJs/producers from Rio de Janeiro to crack the charts in Brazil.

In 1999, he was honored by the record label Paradoxx Music to remix “It Feels So Good” by Marion K. The song became one of the top songs of all time, being one of the most played on Brazilian radio history.

In 2000, Sony Music's sub label, Seven Music, signed Marcos. With them, he released his third album, “Tekno-Hard-Attack”, for which he won two awards, Festa Planet Award Best DJ and World Music Award Best DJ and Producer. Marcos again distinguished himself in 2001 when he won the biggest dance music award in South America, the “DJ Sound Best Producer Award”.

In 2002, Marcos was hired as a label executive in the US, leaving behind years of success in Brazil. He had to follow his heart and get himself back in the studio. By 2003, Marcos started his own label, UC Entertainment, and it has now become one of the leading distributors of non-major label music in Brazil and Latin America.

By the end of 2004 Marcos went back to his "music production career" getting back to the studios on full force. This time his challenge was greater than the Brazilian market because Marcos was facing his new reality by taking it up a notch: "The North American Music Market".

In 2005 the results of his great work appeared in different remixes for artists and labels such as: "Piel Canela" by Emmanuel on Universal Music, "Daddy Cool" by Boney M on Sony ATV, "New York City Boy" by Randy Jones on Catalyst Mgmt Group, and "B More Shake" and "Soul Makossa" by Afrika Bambaataa on Tommy Boy Records.

The single "B More Shake" by Afrika Bambaataa charted #15 on the "Billboard Hot Music / Club Play Top 100" and was featured on the "Top 100 charts" for more than 20 weeks.

In 2006 UC Music Group proudly released the long awaited Electro, House and Tribal mix compilation FEVER. Mixed by Marcos himself, it delivered popular global hits such as: 'All This Time' by Jonathan Peters feat. Sylver, 'Lonely Child' by fellow Mean-Dream DJ Slok, 'First Time' by Offer Nissim feat Maya, 'Ghet’s Noch' by Roman Fluegel, 'B More Shake by Afrika Bambaataa' and more.

Marcos was the only DJ from Brazil to spin in one of the 2006 Winter Music Conference official events, the Gathering of the Tribes at Club Rain (voted one of the Top 10 nightclubs in the world!!)

He has now played prime time at nightclubs in Russia, Lithuania, Mexico City, Costa Rica, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Boston, Cape Cod, Worcester, New Jersey, New York, Miami, Rio de Janeiro and at the super club Patipa in Kiev - Ukraine (Voted Best Nightclub Eastern European in 2006) to name few.

With 4 mix CD albums, tracks on over 30 CD compilations, and not being satisfied with just being the best from South America, "THE THRILL FROM BRAZIL" can’t wait to prove himself all over again, and with 20 weeks in the charts and the DJ Skills to match, he is more than on his way!
